Membership subscription for bi-monthly online peer consultation group
Are you a compassionate therapist dedicated to providing the best care for your clients?
Do you crave a supportive community where you can grow both personally and professionally?
Are you...
Looking to consult on cases?
Desiring to share with and learn from others?
Wanting to connect with other mental health professionals?
Join our online mental health professional peer consultation group!
Once mental health professionals become fully licensed, they're often left on their own. In private practice, we are typically isolated and have to intentionally seek out ways to connect with other professionals. We may be able to have one-off consultations with some other colleagues, but we don't often get the opportunity to get multiple types of perspectives or feedback.
Consultation groups are great for getting that group support and feedback; however, consultation groups can be difficult to find. When you do find one, it can be even more difficult to have a group that feels safe and predictable (in terms of the regularity of participants and/or a confidential location) so that you can discuss whatever you need. If this sounds familiar, don't worry - we've got you covered!
Look no further! Join our Mental Health Professionals Peer Consultation Group!
To provide a consistent, supportive, and collaborative space where participants can
feel comfortable sharing their perspectives and experiences and receive feedback and support
that fosters professional growth, collaboration, and well-being among mental health professionals.
With a low-cost monthly membership, members of the group have the opportunity to meet for up to three hours total per month on a pre-planned schedule so that this can be easily fit into your busy schedule. The small group of regular members is semi-structured yet largely informal. All members are encouraged to participate in and contribute to the group discussions and to share resources and recommendations with their fellow peers.
Independently licensed mental health professionals (e.g., LMHC/LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LP - Ph.D./Psy.D, etc.) in private practice are encouraged to join

Rebecca Stone of Stone Counseling & Consulting Services, LLC in Florida. Rebecca is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor in the state of Florida. She has been practicing for over 12 years, with the last 7 years being in private practice. Rebecca has had several therapists with years of experience reach out to her requesting that she provides a peer consultation group. She established this group for experienced therapists in private practice to help meet this need.
No. This is a group of independently licensed mental health professionals who are coming together to connect, share, and help one another as peers.
While Rebecca Stone, MA, LMHC-QS is a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns in the state of Florida, she is not acting in a formal supervisory capacity within this group. By joining, group members understand that Rebecca Stone assumes no liability for the group members' patients/clients nor any actions taken or not taken, any legal, ethical, or other misconduct, any patient/client neglect, abandonment, or harm, or any other claims made against any professionals who are or were participating in this group.
No. This is an informal group with no specified learning objectives or outcomes.
This group has a monthly fee for two reasons:
(1) In order to run this group, there is time, effort, and financial cost put into providing the development/planning and marketing of this group, as well as maintaining the platform and consistent hosting/facilitating for this group. The nominal monthly membership fee ensures that this group can be sustainable over time.
(2) Participating in a fee-based group leads to greater investment by the members. When members pay a fee, they are often more likely to attend and participate more regularly and meaningfully, which helps everyone get more of what they need from the group.
Within our field, a group of 15 may seem large. The reality is: it is unlikely that all group members will be able to be present for every meeting, and they may not be able to stay for the duration of the meeting. It is more likely that an estimated 10 members may be in each meeting, and some members may join late or leave early. Allowing up to 15 members provides opportunities for flexibility in members' attendance while also still allowing for a good number of participants so we can have fruitful discussions.
No, not at this time. Individuals who are in a graduate program or are pre-licensed professionals typically have supervision built into their program or licensure requirements. This group would not meet their needs so those individuals are recommended to utilize supervision that is already available to them.
When we become independently licensed, we often no longer receive any sort of consultation or support. This group is serving a need for those independently licensed professionals who are seeking additional support and connection that may be otherwise unavailable or difficult to obtain.
No. While a lot of the members are Florida licensed providers, you do not necessarily have to be licensed in Florida or provide services to Florida residents.
No. To ensure that meetings can have a predictable schedule for members to plan for, and in an attempt to avoid as many holidays/closures as possible, our meeting days/times are currently set to 12pm-1:30pm Eastern Time on the first Thursday and third Tuesday of each month.
Don't stress! We are busy and sometimes unpredictable things happen with our plans. If you're a little late, need to leave a little early, or you miss a meeting, it's no problem; join the meeting when you can and leave when you need to leave. Please know that prorations, refunds, and the like are not available; the monthly fee is the same whether you attend one, both, none, or partial meetings.
If you're not getting what you need from the group, we encourage you to discuss it with the group or group host before leaving so we can attempt to help you get what you need.
If you're ready to leave the group for any reason, though, you're welcome to cancel at any time. The monthly fee is a fixed flat rate that is non-refundable, is not able to be pro-rated, and is otherwise not flexible, so be sure to factor that into when you plan to cancel your membership. When you're ready, just login to your account, go to “account settings” and visit the “billing” section to cancel.
Independently licensed mental health professionals (e.g., LMHC/LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LP, etc.) are welcomed to become a member of the group. Diversity in participants' backgrounds, disciplines, and modalities is encouraged.
The group will be open to members only with a maximum of 15 members. The group will be open until filled. If a member/s leaves the group, the group will reopen membership enrollment until maximum capacity is once again reached.
12:00pm-1:30pm ET on the 1st Thursday and 3rd Tuesday monthly (starting January 2024)
Members have flexibility with attendance. Members may attend one, both, or partial meetings each month depending on their availability; however, the cost is a flat rate regardless of attendance.
All meetings will be held online via Google Meet. When you join the group, you will gain access to the meeting join information in our private community message board.
